Hello friends! Here is what I am chatting about in this month’s newsletter:
Did you see the new Mailbag Newsletter that went out a few weeks ago? I was so excited to answer readers’ questions. In case you missed it, you can find it here: https://cluttertoclaritynj.beehiiv.com/ 🐝
I hope to do one of these Mailbag Issues each month, so please reply to this email with any decluttering or organizing questions that you have!
You will also notice that sometimes I may include advertisements in my newsletters. This advertising revenue helps make it possible for me to keep doing this work that I love. I plan to only include advertisements for items and services that I support personally.
Don’t Forget this when you Pack!
Summer is here and many of us are planning to travel. I just wrote a blog post to help you pack and make sure that you don’t forget any essentials:
Suitcases & Sanity: Remembering the Essentials when Packing for Your Family Trip
When heading out on a trip, there is so much to keep track of to ensure you bring everything you need for a stress-free vacation. Here are some tips I've compiled to make getting out the door for a vacation a little bit easier:
Tip #1 - Keep Your Travel Items Together
Being organized just means that everything has a home. This is a great rule to remember when you're organizing your travel items as well - create a home for your travel items!
First, start with all the digital information you need to track for your trip. I have created a travel folder in my email account where I save airline confirmations, hotel confirmations, travel itineraries, and other travel information.
And for all of the physical items that I use only when traveling, I store them together as well. For example, I have two bins where I keep items that we only use for travel, such as…
I also share my packing list template (for free!) in the blog post - be sure to download it!
Splurge on your trip, not your travel wardrobe
Quince believes that quality should never be a luxury, with premium apparel, accessories, and luggage all priced at 50-80% less than competitors.

Dorm Room Organization
If you are in the season of life where you are ready to send off your first born to college, you may be overwhelmed with creating a list of all of the things you need to purchase for a freshman dorm room. I have written two blog posts about this which I hope make this process a bit easier:

Favorite Organizing Product of the Month
A cooling towel is a small thing to add to your suitcase to make a trip to a zoo, amusement park, or any hot climate, just a bit more comfortable. I am packing these for our trip to Italy over the summer.
What Lindsey’s Reading
This was a Christmas gift and I finally found some time to read it. It was a really enjoyable novel and I will definitely be reading more books by this author in the future.

What Lindsey’s Listening To
This month I am recommending that you listen to me chat about simple tips to make your life less chaotic. I hope you enjoy it.

This New York Times recipe by Melissa Clark is Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

NEW - What’s Saving my Life Right Now?
Some of my favorite podcasters share this on their shows and I thought you might enjoy this section as well!
What’s saving my life this time of year is my Summer Break Calendar by Essential Calendars. I fill this up with camp info and family trips and hang it on the wall in our kitchen just underneath our weekly whiteboard calendar. It’s nice for all of us to see what our whole summer looks like - it helps to keep us from overscheduling our summer.
Thanks for reading! See you next time!
